The change was communicated through a vague email about a week before it went into effect, with no in-person conversation or chance to ask questions. It made it hard for people to plan and was poorly handled. The policy only impacts hourly employees, while salaried employees and managers still keeping their front-loaded PTO and more flexibility, creating a clear imbalance. It’s even more noticeable given the physical nature of warehouse and production roles, which require being on-site without flexible options. PTO approvals are also inconsistent, with requests denied without clear reasoning. A lot of experienced and amazing people have left or been pushed out, and morale has taken a hit. The shift in culture has been noticeable and disappointing.
