I've been in retail P&C insurance now since I graduated back in 2008. From spending time on the global brokerage side, to small independent agencies, I've experienced servicing the loss control needs and insurance placement of companies of all sizes. That being said, I would have to say that CoVerica is the first agency that has the capabilities of offering that local independent agency feel, yet capable of offering the same resources that a national or global broker can offer their customers. I've never worked for a firm that truly cares about the well-being of its employees more than CoVerica. The amount of time that our President and entire management team spend discussing the agency's future perpetuation, and our involvement in its continued growth, reassures me that this is an agency with momentous career opportunities and a truly wise investment when it comes to building my book of business moving forward. From a sales standpoint, I really can't think of any cons of working at CoVerica. Commercial sales is difficult enough from a new business standpoint. For anyone that truly knows what it's like to self-generate a book of business from Step 1 - i.e. cold calling for x-dates, follow-up calls, emails, marketing campaigns, filling your pipeline, etc. - understands that both flexibility and goal-setting are relevant to success. Nobody offers that type of work environment better than CoVerica.
