Pluspunten

Job security and steady paycheck

Minpunten

This company has barbarians and corrupt politicians in positions of power. I have been verbally abused by multiple previous managers. I've yet to work in a department with established, realistic and/or obtainable KPIs. Resultantly, the performance review is a product of how much you are liked and what management wants to pick and choose about you to paint whatever picture they need. I have yet to work for a department that honors hard work. You can do 100 times the amount of your peer and your peer will supercede you because they made no mistakes. This company looks for errors versus level of success/work accomplished. Managers tend to focus on reports and not developing personell. Management is corrupt at the highest level. If your dad works for this company, you are a minor and/or you are great at lying and manipulating people to protect your own skin and stay ahead, then submit your application now. Comed also looks for upper management that have skills in yelling.

Pluspunten

Great work-life balance and work-from-home option on Mondays and Fridays. Great place to learn about the industry, as ComEd/Exelon is a leader in its field. Generally a very positive work culture, with a few toxic people here and there - no different from any company. They also encourage you to move around to different roles if you so choose, which is really supportive and unique among companies.

Minpunten

Pay is FAR below the industry standard. Lots of PMs are jumping ship for $30K - $50K more pay doing the same job in other companies - including ComEd's consulting firms. And now, it appears that the annual bonus is going to be partially cut by the new "high performance workforce" initiative - thereby eliminating the final incentive to stay. Unfortunately, I have now joined the ranks of those looking for greener pastures myself. I'd love to stay, but I can't ignore the ability to make $40K more elsewhere.
