Pluspunten
- Decent experience w/ different technologies - Team members were great before they quit or were laid off. - Mostly hands-off management style -- rarely caught up in unnecessary meetings. - Alright benefits, competitive PTO at time of writing
Minpunten
- Frequent layoffs which rarely reflect value of individual contributors. Leads to constant job insecurity - Bonuses do not reflect work effort -- confirmed this with multiple folks across several business units. - Constant penny-pinching -- C-suites remove QoL software such as Slack despite massive employee backlash. "A F500 company doesn't even value us enough to provide a decent messaging service" is the sentiment. - Salary is not competitive -- 10-15k below what competitors pay. - Healthcare benefits went from excellent to subpar. Previous insurance only resulted in a $500 dollar bill from a weekend hospital stay. New insurance resulted in a $4500 bill. - In addition to layoffs, coworkers are constantly quitting due to more competitive offers at defense contractors, FAANGs, etc. - "Unlimited sick day" policy contingent on manager approval, resulting in PTO use unless you are on death's door. - Results of satisfaction polls are frequently cherry-picked -- poll questions relating to employee satisfaction, burnout, recommending the position, etc. are somehow always missing.
