Pluspunten
Every year gets worse. At this point convenience is the only pro. If you've been with the company long enough, you can leverage yourself into nearly a completely remote job (work from home 3+ days per week).
Minpunten
Where to start...how about compensation and benefits? - Base salary below what other companies in the area offer - Non-existent bonuses - Non-existent stock awards (unless you're senior management or an executive) - Non-existent options (unless you're senior management or an executive) - You'll be lucky to get a 1% raise even with a stellar performance review - Rising medical / dental costs (say goodbye to that tiny raise you thought you were getting) - 401k match worse than what it was (tied to percentage of base salary, so only good if you're senior management or executive with fat salaries) - HSA match worse than what it was for individuals How about leadership? - Senior management and executives have no vision for the products we develop - Out of the loop technologically - Favor reinventing the wheel instead of using proven, existing technologies - Lack of expertise in the areas we pursue - Lack of communication about the state of the businesses and future direction - More willing to save a buck by "externalizing" more resources without considering the consequences to the underlying products How about company culture? - There is none. Employee morale is in the toilet (see reviews below, see HR-issued "employee morale survey's", etc) and it's only getting worse. No incentives to do well. When the company meets or exceeds expectations and starts performing better, the only beneficiaries are senior management and executives.
