- Extremely well-positioned in a burgeoning industry (digital coupons) - High-likelihood of success in the public market. IPO is imminent within 2 years or less - Easy workload (i.e., low expectations from business) - Lots of free food & drinks, including daily catered lunches - Company sponsored "employee bonding" events (poker tournaments, Halloween contests, etc.) - Awesome company luxury box at SF Giants games (best box in the stadium). Company regularly makes tickets available to the employees, including World Series games! - Pets are allowed in the office - Excellent employee-referral program
Minpunten
- Unproven, inexperienced and arrogant management team (in some, not all, departments) - Management team not experienced in how to run an Internet, e-Commerce company - Most of the leaders in the company are from the old, traditional coupon business. - Company culture is forced. No "team spirit". Everyone is out for themselves, including most managers - Decisions are unilaterally made from the top down - Innovation and risk-taking are not encouraged - No employee training or career development plans - No transparency in how promotions/employee evaluations are made - Very uninspiring office space...at least in main building...(think Office Space, only without all the glamour)
