Pluspunten
Like others have mentioned, the structure is lenient, and no one is going to tell you when and where to work. It is a great place to learn new skills on your own and no one will notice if you make a mistake. HR has made strides in the last year to be up to par with other employers of their size as far as benefits. Truly, the best part of this company is the people you get to work with. Everyone outside of upper management are good people and will look out for you.
Minpunten
It is difficult to influence change if your vision differentiates from that of the CEO. He is steadfast in whichever mission he is marching towards that day. Direction is constantly shifting, and that makes it difficult to see a project through to completion. The company is littered with half-finished projects that will most likely not see the light of day. This also leads to new ideas from employees being kept to themselves rather than being presented and being shot down or knowing that it will only ever be half finished. The engineering team has constant turnover, causing the product to see little improvement over time and is in a state of arrested development. While the Sales team gives it their all, the addressable market for the product is quite small, so the potential for future growth is questionable, so be aware of this before accepting a job. Management, like engineering, also sees a lot of turnover. This causes further disruption in forward momentum due to the company being so small. One manager leaving could be the difference between a department existing and not existing.
