      Pluspunten

      The staff (not leadership) are some great folks. There's breakfast provided at staff meetings (free food!) and free Sodas.

      Minpunten

      The environment is toxic. I've been yelled at and belittled by the Owner/Principal. His wife is the CFO/Office Manager/HR and everything else. It doesn't make it a place where an employee can feel comfortable reporting an HR complaint. You're not a person here, you're a work horse. I've seen engineers cry at work.

      Thank you for your review. Your observations and concerns help us better understand how we can improve. We recognize that mistakes have been made in the past and we have worked hard to make changes so these do not occur again. The management team continues to grow. We have added tenured business and project management professionals who align with our core values: trust, integrity, service, teamwork, and quality. We are also building a strong mid-level leadership team from within as our business grows. Separating business and technical functions amongst the management team are improving workload balancing. We recognize work-life balance is important to sustaining our success. In addition, human resource responsibilities have been assigned to the new tenured business professionals to help remove any obstacles which might inhibit employees from discussing concerns and/or reporting a complaint.

      DCS provides great opportunities for professional growth for those of all experience levels through mentorship and project variety. Good culture, excellent benefits, competitive pay and a great team.

      DCS is a great place to work and is constantly getting better.

      Pluspunten

      I have worked at DCS for about 3.5 years as a project engineer. In this time my learning has accelerated beyond that of my peers due to the responsibilities that have been entrusted to me. The staff here is made up of very talented people that are easy to work with and get along with. The owner is a top notch engineer that strives to pass his wealth of knowledge on to all employees. The pay and benefits are great, I have been given generous raises each year without any negotiation on my part.

      Minpunten

      Many of the previous reviews had merit at the time. The problems that I personally experienced have improved significantly in the last year or two. The company puts an emphasis on producing extremely high quality work, sometimes causing projects to be late or employees to work overtime. Management has a very direct communication style that can come across as harsh at times. Once I realized that it’s never personal, this hasn’t bothered me.
