Pluspunten
None that I can think of. Some people were nice, although the culture was overwhelmingly toxic.
Minpunten
I was hired as a junior developer, and my time at this company was an absolute disaster. Despite being in a position meant for learning and growth, I was given no code reviews, no feedback, no pair programming, and left entirely to my own devices for six months. My manager’s involvement was non-existent; he clearly had no understanding of what was happening within the team. The team itself was severely understaffed and often too overwhelmed to offer any support.
From day one, I felt unsupported, undervalued, and blamed for pre-existing issues in a chaotic codebase. No expectations were set for me, and communication was abysmal—oscillating between humiliating micromanagement and complete radio silence. The constantly shifting requirements and unrealistic demands only added to the stress.
I later discovered that a key deliverable was a website release—something I was never informed about during onboarding. When I raised this with my manager, his dismissive response was that 'if I were a bricklayer, I’d need something to show', Somehow, this absurd logic was meant to justify his complete lack of guidance.
This company is the epitome of a toxic environment for juniors. Their inability to provide even the bare minimum of support or structure left me stressed, demoralised, and altered my image of the industry permanently. Avoid this company like the plague, especially if you want to start a career.
