We were faced with a challenging decision to reduce the size of our team by 13 people due to over-hiring at the end of 2022. Despite our best efforts, these larger teams did not produce improved results. It is important to mention that this decision was not a reflection of any specific individual's performance and more a factor of not having enough work for the entire team. Further, we have not backfilled these roles, nor are we actively searching for new people to fill them. Additionally, we are being much more cautious about hiring too quickly going forward. We know this was an unexpected decision for the team members effected. So, in addition to our standard 30-day severance package, we provided full reimbursements for all computer equipment purchased.
