Pluspunten
I started as temp and got hired as permanent after 6 months. I chose to work in this company because of the following: 1. People I work with are great! I have been with several supervisors but my boss in Datacolor is the best - helpful, smart and approachable (not intimidating). The staff are also very friendly and did not make me feel like an outsider even when I was just a temporary employee. 2. Benefits are great - medical insurance, 401K has a good company matching, dental is free, vision and life insurance are affordable. Allows carry over of sick days (w/ certain number of days). 3. Great location. Road closures is not a big problem (though could still be a hassle) as you have other options/routes to go through. Building is located in a serene and peaceful community. 4. Offers option to work from home; though there are days which you are mandated to report to office. This is very helpful during snow days. 5. Office is modern, clean and beautiful. Building facilities are great - many meeting rooms with TV, speakers and camera. Coffee areas in almost every corner of the building. 6. Big ample parking space- more than enough for employees. 7. Company often gives free lunch (good, delicious lunch NOT just pizza) and free breakfast. Much appreciated when rushing to work and "packing lunch" is one less thing to think about.
Minpunten
I don't really consider this as a "con" but just to nitpick. 1. "You cannot be indolent or slothful" If you work in Datacolor, you cannot be lazy. It is a big company bursting with activity. 2. "Salary package may not be as high as others" But do the Math and see how the benefits will pay off in a year or two.
