The company likes to brag that it's never had to conduct layoffs, but they have a tendency to "disappear" engineers with no warning or formal process while citing performance. Managers are, unfortunately, not your allies here. Management expects engineers to onboard quickly with minimal support and guidance, and is quick to blame engineers for any missed deadlines
