Unfortunately, it appears as a great place to work and it is, but only for a year, maybe 2 or 3 & then you are replaced!!!

Minpunten

If a raise is rightfully due OR you bring up issues pertaining to a possible unsafe working environment -- you are out!!!! This has been an issue for years. Owner has many great qualities, but don't be fooled - she's all show. Don't waste your time

Pluspunten

First, I'm talking about the Dataworks in Newcastle Washington, not PR. Owners Jason and Carloline really make you feel like family. They give you most everything you need to succeed in terms of tools and support. The best thing about working here is probably the wide range of products and technologies you have to learn to implement and support. It's hard to get that kind of experience outside of a smaller consulting shop. Anyone who's spent a couple years on the front line as a Dataworks consultant is well prepared to tackle any number of infrastructure, support, or IT management challenges.

Minpunten

Driven consultants can outgrow the company's salary ceiling after sharpening their skills for awhile, making them targets for higher paying head hunters. This can create a moderate amount of turnover. There may also be a an understandable bias towards implementing solutions that will benefit Dataworks in the long run (requiring more support and maintenance) rather than more hands off or turn key solutions.

There are not many pros anymore

Minpunten

This company has changed for the worse since the new owner acquired it in divorce proceedings. Very un-ethical business practices and increasingly poor treatment of employees. Solutions sold to customers are chosen on what profits Dataworks the most and its often not best practice or functional. New owner lacks leadership, technical, and skills and she is driving the company into the ground. Good clients and employees are leaving. This is a company that recently waited until Christmas Eve to inform staff there are no company bonuses for the first time ever.
