Where to start.. DDA has the potential to be a great company, but because the scheduling department is completely inadequate and incapable of handling so many employees, the company is a complete mess whenever anyone calls in sick or decides to have a day off. For example, if DDA is running a program with 6 staff and 1 staff member is on holiday and 1 staff member calls in sick, DDA will allow the program to go understaffed (although there are rules and regulations about a 1 staff member to 3 client ratio) so that there will be 4 staff members looking after about 16 clients with disabilities. Aside from that, if you are a casual working for DDA you can expect not to receive proper training for each of the homes you are expected to work in. This is unacceptable, as each and every one of the homes has clients who have unique needs. Staff members must be trained to work in individual houses because each of the clients' needs are unique and must be addressed with proper training otherwise people will get hurt. Aside from the inadequate scheduling department, the leadership in most departments seem to be lacking. Team leaders are often stuck behind their desks doing paperwork while staff members are left to their own devices so that there is no clear instruction and no clear leadership from the management. And although this cannot be confirmed, there seems to be a consensus among the staff that upper management in DDA are not helpful and are generally unpleasant to talk to. Furthermore, I have worked at DDA for several months now, and I have passed my probationary period yet I have still not received a single paycheck that has the correct amount I am owed. This is ridiculous. The people who are handling payroll have 1 job and they keep forwarding my mail to the wrong locations and cannot provide me with a paycheck with the right amount nor can they provide pay stubs that show the correct amount of hours I have worked. So much for punching in and punching out on the online system. What is the point of using the online system when your financial team decide to use an antiquated ineffective system of paper time sheets instead?!
