Their system of training and mentoring helps juniors to adapt faster. During regular performance review you and a manager set clear criteria for promotion. Bureaucracy is rather mild. Typically there is good development process that involves unit testing and tasks automation. Although that depends much on a client/project.

The salary reviews could have been more transparent. Several times I was on bench without a project for about a month.
