Pluspunten
- Awesome team and team members especially that help you out a lot. - Awesome team lead as well that especially helps out a ton and does get you settled in, even if you come from a different background to the role in terms of technical capabilities. - The work itself is flexible and you have chances to do your own ad-hoc implementations.
Minpunten
- Management is VERY erratic and make changes constantly, usually not the good ones either. - Very high chance of ending up on the layoff list, or the termination list, depending on your own actions and luck. - Remote work is not really encouraged at all since the company has an office with an expensive rent that they want the employees to utilize. Remote working, even fully, is still an option though but the company is trying to move more to an office setting and mandates office involvement for people that live closer to the office. - Non-existent room for mistakes or error, especially on the tech teams. If you end up making enough mistakes, especially while you're still learning, these will not be tolerated at all and you might end up getting fired even because of these. - Very little room for error overall in your position, so direct and transparent communication with your team is an absolute MUST to succeed. For me this was hard last year due to my own short-comings in my own life. - Everything is messy and unorganized on the tech side, highly due to the nature of the company. Be prepared to really "push through the mess". - High employee turnover, you'll get new team members on a semi-regular basis. You'll also see people go from other teams very often. - The work itself is flexible and you have chances to do your own ad-hoc implementations. This also means that a lot of things break and don't work correctly and if you end up doing a lot of mistakes, you're out.
