* staff are treated with total disrespect, ordered around by managers, spoken to as if they are nothing for most this is their first job. People either want to do the breakfast shift because you get a nice manager but the rest are rude, arrogant and give the best jobs and shifts to their relatives! * breaks are not allocated so you could work 8 hours without a break…certainly not given the legal breaks entitlement and not even paid for the breaks you don’t take. * no meals provided for staff. Sometimes there is one meal that has to be shared by 3-4 staff members. There is nothing near by so you can’t even go out for something to eat. Interestingly the managers eat well. In my new job we are all given a meal as our all my other friends that work in hospitality! Why not give staff a meal with the amount of money the hotel must make, seems tight.. I have worked 10 hours without any food! * I worked there for nearly 2 years and in that time I was only given a share of the tip money once. The tips are not shared out and the waiting staff work over10 hours and don’t get any tips….is this actually legal? * customers make rude, sexist, racist and homophobic comments but when you tell the manager on duty they don’t care or do anything…disgusting behaviour! No consideration for staff well-being. * no Christmas party, no thank you! They don’t care about their people at all Sad that the staff sadly don’t get the same high standard of service/treatment as the customers do!
