Great organizational skills, standardization, training and opportunities to learn a variety of areas within the company. New college hires have an outline of their path. They are deliberately sent around the company to get a good overview/ exposure to different areas. Very disciplined on the business side . Talented scientists. Other sides that are not business are like a small army core supporting the business in all capacities. A person could be exposed to the sciences, in procurement, in IT, in project management and in accounting capacities.
Minpunten
Losing management with deep industry knowledge. Focused on promoting young managers who are not seasoned in industry or actual people skills. Can be rigid and rules oriented. Rating and ranking system is a de motivator. Too silo'd. Not enough collaboration across the various business units. New open concept strips respect for the individual. Say they want feedback but not if your opinion doesn't follow their vision. Rule by fear.
