Pluspunten
Great exposure to all aspects of business and there are some very clever, experienced people to work with and learn from at XOM. Share Scheme and pension are good. Base pay is in the upper third area. They are a very ethical company. A great company to buy shares in but the going can be tough for the staff - the organization is constantly changing and the opportunities in Europe are limiting as the company continually reduces headcount.
Minpunten
It has a very strong emphasis for internal controls and safety; sometimes it seems OTT. This may not suit everyone; entrepreneurial spirit it not really required in this highly developed, 'heavily controlled' organization. I don't think they really trust their staff. Some top mgt can be overbearing - almost bullyish.
