The CEO is the biggest obstacle to this company's success, and his refusal to listen to anyone but himself is driving it into the ground. Employees repeatedly raise core issues, month after month, trying to help the business function better, but constructive feedback is either dismissed outright or met with hostility. The CEO simply cannot handle anyone telling him "no" or suggesting improvements, creating a toxic cycle of delusion and dysfunction. He spends all of his time selling, making grand promises to clients about services we either lack the expertise to deliver or don’t have the manpower to complete. I never had a standard weekly meeting with him because, instead of pouring into his team and providing the support we desperately needed, he prioritized selling like a snake oil salesman. He promises the world but delivers chaos—and the employees are left to pick up the pieces. This creates a negative feedback loop: the CEO sells services we can't fulfill → the team expresses concerns → the CEO ignores or invalidates the feedback → the team is overworked and spirals further into burnout and disarray. It’s a constant state of "emergency" that stems from his own poor decisions, but he refuses to acknowledge that he's responsible. Beware of the inflated positive reviews—most were written under pressure or from interns long before the company became what it is today.
