      Pluspunten

      Decent benefits and decent pay. I find most of my coworkers to be good and helpful. The company is committed to DEI. At my level, the company is very ethical.

      Minpunten

      The level of micro management is fairly high and at time can be demoralizing. Expect 5-6 hours of meetings a day. Long term employees are cliquish. Over reliance on contractors. No communication or training provided to project teams on key initiatives:. coupa, empower, forecasting system.

      Pluspunten

      FirstEnergy is a big company with a lot of growth that I've seen firsthand. Employees are helpful and all have the shared goals of keeping reliability of the electric grid. The pay is decent and stays competitive with the market rates as they do reviews consistently and evaluate. Its a great company that is trying to do better after misguided leads hip in the past

      Minpunten

      Some executive leadership vision is not shared with lower level employees. The recent transition from WFH back to the office has left employees such as myself wondering why its not role based WFH.

      Pluspunten

      Pays well, especially storm duty. More "relaxed" than other places for work.

      Minpunten

      Lineman Union run, which creates a lot of tension between design and lineman. Design not represented. A lot of people who stay who don't have a good work ethic. CEO is terrible.
