When I started at FirstService I had no idea what a residential concierge did. I figured that it would be a good place to work for a few months till I figured out what I really wanted to do. Now I have been with the company for almost 3 years and I am on my second promotion. I have had wonderful supervisors and managers that really believe in me and treat me like a valued team member. The residents I served were welcoming and warm. It has been the best place I've ever worked in my 20 years of various employments.

There is nothing I would change. Any issues or problems, FirstService Residential BC is already working hard to address. I have never met a company more on the ball in terms of improvement.

Pluspunten

At the time, I was working overnight at a condominium, and the quiet environment gave me the opportunity to focus on my schoolwork since there was very little activity throughout the building. The team I worked with was incredible, they made me feel like I was part of a family, which made the job even more enjoyable and rewarding.

Working the graveyard shift can significantly affect a person's sleep schedule and overall sleep quality.

Field workers are second hand citizens. Nepotism by language. Promote people that don't have the skill sets to do the job. The people that have the common sense to be leadership at this point don't want the responsibility anymore. What does that say?
