Wages are far below market for the industry. Even in the best times, the joke was that the way you advanced at IDG was by going to another job and getting rehired at IDG into a better role. Since the death of the founder in 2014, the company has steadily gone downhill. Upper management is completely disconnected from the work the people on the ground do, and make life-changing decisions about the company with no regard for how it will affect employees. The values Pat McGovern espoused have completely been thrown by the wayside. If you work there today, you are very much a disposable cog in the machine, and your work will be outsourced to India as soon as convenient.
