Pluspunten
Great opportunity right out of college to obtain office experience at a law firm.
Minpunten
So many cons. They will move you around like a piece of luggage among teams, and make it clear to you how replaceable you are. Although they do have some training referred to as "Fragomen Academy" to teach new hires general background of visa categories, the training is ultimately unhelpful, as teams and more specifically ATTORNEYS have unique stylistic preferences that make it impossible to meet their expectations when drafting petitions. HR is the absolute worst. I never received a 90 or 120 day review as HR claimed to administer during hiring process. My major issue with this firm is the discrepancy in expectations among teams. I have many friends who all started with me and we have VERY different experiences working at this firm. For example, some of my friends have little to no work, and are restricted to one visa category. However, I have other friends that are so over worked and are so overwhelmed with the number of visas they are expected to learn in at timely fashion, that they feel extremely defeated. Ultimately, it comes down to the attorneys you report to as well as the access to senior paralegals to train you on the team. If you are interested in immigration law, this is the place to be, however if you are looking for general paralegal experience, I would look else where.
