Pluspunten
I have worked for a number of healthcare PR agencies, and while I loved aspects of each (culture, clients), I ultimately changed in search of career advancement. Two agencies were boutique or had fledgling health practices, so upward momentum was limited by size and client base. At one larger agency, there were not available account openings to support my growth and I plateaued, which necessitated a move to GCIH.
There is never a dearth of growth opportunity at GCIH. We attract, retain and grow so many diverse clients. For a career healthcare specialist, I stay engaged because of the work and our stellar teams. And I stay motivated knowing how many interesting accounts and opportunities exist to work on over time.
Other pros are incredibly sharp, capable and fun colleagues; strong, female (!) agency leadership; and good office culture.
Minpunten
Any client service job can be tough. While culture is a priority, we have so many diverse accounts and those individual clients and teams can influence the day-to-day work experience. Employees should work with their managers and teams - and also advocate for themselves - to manage work/life balance and get what they want from their agency experience.
