      Pluspunten

      I got great experience as a teaching assistant, and had a full scholarship and stipend. The professors I worked with were fantastic.

      Minpunten

      Being a TA is strange, because you're doing a very important job- in my case explaining complex grammatical concepts to beginners in a language - without the time or a resources afforded to professors. I don't think this is specific to Georgetown; it's just the way it is. Generally, I found the students good and engaged, but there's a certain privileged white "bro" ethos among some of the undergrads that can be troubling.

      Job security throughout budget cuts happening in the public health industry currently. Plenty of PTO and holiday paid leave.

      Minpunten

      Constant threats by upper management to "write us up/disciplinary action" for anything. Director is really unfair/disrespectful/condescending to our supervisor and so that trickles down to data coordinators. For example currently there is a threat that we will be "written up" if we do not meet all the competing deadlines. Ive seen sooo people many come and go in this sector over the past 3 years its insane. Its alot of data to manually enter and one must be organized /driven and on top of your game but it gets borring if your not passionate about the cancer trials you are working on.
