I've been at Gild for a few years, and it's been the best work experience I've had. It's not easy, but it's challenging and rewarding. It's definitely a grown-up start-up with many seasoned employees as well as young talent. Everyone I work with is smart and self-driven. Two of our core values are meritocracy and openness which are challenging to live by, but I think we've done a pretty good job. People are rewarded for hard work and have the power to craft their own career. Everyone tends to speak directly and openly. The take-as-you-need PTO policy works really well here, and the work/life balance is good.
