Pluspunten
Go Fish is a great place to start out at in digital marketing. It’s fast paced and a little chaotic but that’s what helps you learn at the end of the day. The people here are all amazing and the benefits were pretty good with 20 vacation days and little perks here and there. I did love the majority of my time here and made lifelong friends from this company while also learning the skills I needed to excel in digital marketing.
Minpunten
In my time at GFD, I noticed things start to go downhill fairly quickly. Leadership was wishy washy when it came to how they approached things and was hard to keep up with new initiatives that the company kept throwing at us. If you want a raise here, don’t expect one. It is very hard to climb the ladder here if you don’t have an in with upper management or aren’t a perfect individual. It’s also very difficult to understand the feedback process here. One day I would be told I’m doing amazing, and the next thing I know I’m in a meeting being told I am underperforming after being told for months I’m doing a great job. After speaking with others, this is a recurring experience. Workload continues to pile up without any reward. You will continue to increase responsibilities with little to no recognition or pay raise to show for it. If clients quit, it’s your fault and you feel like you’re going to get fired as a result. Toward the end of my time at Go Fish, it was a completely different place than the one I started at. I don’t see things turning around anytime soon for them.
