Pluspunten
Paid decently, unlimited PTO, solid training reimbursement, lots of opportunities to get involved in internal initiatives.
Minpunten
Health benefits are average, 401k contributions are lower and don’t compare to other big consulting firms, and lack of regard for work-life balance. Leadership says they promote it but you have to be a work horse to get promoted, get a good raise etc. and 95 % of the time continue to set unrealistic deadlines for client work and business development that forces you to consistently work after hours and weekends. Unfortunately years of managers, directors and above being workaholics sets a huge precedent for the consultants and senior consultants to conform to that in order to even get a decent performance eval. Noted in the pros is the ability to get involved internally, unfortunately with the lack of work life balance, it’s almost impossible for people to do that who have a busy client project without overextending themselves on weekends. These are all things you’ll find at a lot of big consulting firms, Guidehouse isn’t much different.
