I’ve observed that the procurement department appears to show partiality and favoritism toward certain individuals. There seems to be a tendency to support or “butter” specific employees, while others who may not align with them are not given a fair hearing. In some cases, employees who raise concerns or do not conform are being pressured, and in extreme situations, are placed on PIP or encouraged to leave. This creates an environment where both top and middle management seem to prefer compliant individuals over genuinely hardworking and performance-driven employees. Such practices can negatively impact team morale, fairness, and overall productivity. It would be beneficial to promote a more transparent and merit-based approach to performance evaluation and employee engagement.
