Compensation growth is disappointing. Despite receiving top performance ratings consistently for 2.7 years, annual salary hikes were only around 1–2%, which did not reflect my contributions and performance. Management lacks sufficient technical understanding, making it difficult for them to accurately assess project complexity and development efforts. Senior managers often make unrealistic commitments to clients without consulting the development team. Developers are frequently pressured to deliver commitments that are not practically achievable within the given timelines. Employee recognition does not translate into meaningful career growth or financial rewards. There is a noticeable gap between management expectations and actual project execution realities.
