HSS has some very effective biomedical services (depending on the location), and long term satisfied customers. HSS allows technicians to operate independently with little oversight - this is a positive and a negative. HSS is rooted in the local CABMET association.
Minpunten
Poor benefits, NO work/life balance, and poor management. HSS is reactive, not proactive. Management lacks oversight. Everyone seems to be operating at capacity. New customers are added without taking this into account. Communication is poor between management/sales/other business units. Poor management of technician skills and minimal training. HSS struggles with standardization across the company. Dual standards exist. Average PM workload is usually overwhelming. Technicians can be cliquish, and can struggle to operate as a team if you aren't in the clique. Health insurance and retirement are relatively poor. HSS is very profitable, but rarely gives raises.
