Pluspunten
Good for entry level sales opportunity. If you want to expand your sales career not a bad start in terms of learning the ropes. The people are cool and very approachable. You'll make some very lasting friendships at this job.
Minpunten
Not enough hourly pay, Tier 1 agents are trash, Tier 3 agents that were just added in the fall of 2023 are Hogwash. There are some cool managers, but if you're not making sales they don't really care about you for the most part. They keep getting sued and settling because they're shorting people on their money. They are about to lose Humana, they lost Devoted because of bad business, They teach toxic sales strategies and a lot of the job is basically talking to the same old people. When you get on the job they will train you but the amount of verbal abuse you'll go through from someone 3-4 times your age is astounding. Additionally, the place is ran like a frat house and it's a lot of peculiar activity that traverses in that establishment. Also the way commission works is stupid. The company gets paid just for you submitting the app and they get paid if the app stay effective over time. If you sell under 40 sales in a month you'll only make 25$ per sale (unless its Anthem Blue Cross which in that case its $30 per anthem sale). You're battling against tier 1 sending you a bogus lead, Tier 3 actually sending it through, or the client even committing to the plan in the first place. I remember selling 55 sales in a month and I only retained 28 sales. 18 of them didn't even get submitted because of a lack of SEP and the rest are either agents dropping the ball or clients dropping the ball. Some of the managers are straight garbage. Some do not possess people skills, any leadership skills and need to be practicing a different profession.
