* Some interesting DS problems * Excellent Tech Stack * Mostly intelligent and amiable colleagues and stakeholders * Discounts on products * HelloFresh portfolio thrived during COVID lockdown and a few years after, and culture was nice. * Nice pace; more than 40 hours per week was rare

Minpunten

* Demand for products started declining in late 2023 and continued. This created unreasonable pressure on the Data Science and Data Engineering teams, among other teams. * Hybrid Policy enforced in late 2023 with 2.5 days office per week required. * Some employees exempt from Hybrid Policy, majority were not. * Round of layoffs/forcing employees out in Spring 2025 (and a few more). * Not many opportunities for career growth in the DS/DE cohorts.

Great product discounts and nice corporate offices.

Minpunten

Very poorly run company. The distribution center operations is a very toxic boys club, rife with blame culture and senior leadership throwing junior leaders under the bus. Good ideas from the "wrong" people aren't listened to, and bad ideas from the "in crowd" are pushed through – and quickly fail. Building and executing effective training is always seen as a road block, and then used as a scapegoat. Hard to see how things will improve in the current state.
