Minpunten

Can’t keep up with the market - no pay rises unless you’re getting a promotion. If you know the right people you’ll get ahead otherwise you hit your ceiling pretty quickly. Zero flexibility

Great compensation and benefits. Work-life balance - this seems to depend a lot on which team you're in, mine happens to be fantastic. Collaborative environment. Very little to no micromanagement - Also seems to depend on the team.

Minpunten

Sometimes it feels like upper management has wrong expectations or misunderstanding of software development lifecycle and constraints. There are too many software development teams, this causes very high complexity and dependencies between them.
