While not necessarily good or bad, it can catch people who are used to more autonomy in their decisions off-guard - Slow growth trajectory in roles and experience / learning which can be unfortunate for those starting off in their careers - Immature feedback / leveling loop - It was fairly common that people got feedback or temperature checks from more casual conversations with peers or other teams rather than formal reviews or manager conversations
