Pluspunten

Management is solid, my manager actually has my back and isn't just managing upwards. Flexible/remote working is real, not just something they say in the interview — I've never had anyone question when or where I work as long as the work gets done. The culture is positive, people are collaborative and there's none of the ego or politics you get at other places. The mission is interesting enough that it doesn't feel like just another job, and the engineering problems are engaging.

Minpunten

Job security, layoffs 2x in 6 months with no warning. Advised we’d get bonuses and raises after a year but company was unable to pay that out. Claim loads can get up to 300 and you’re graded on claims you haven’t been able to get to

We recognise that periods of change, including the headcount reductions you mentioned, are genuinely difficult to go through, and we don't take that lightly. On compensation, we're sorry that the bonus expectations set with you weren't able to be met, and we understand the frustration that comes with that. We also hear you on claims workload. Managing high volumes while being evaluated fairly on outstanding work is a real concern, and it's something we want to keep examining closely. I have enjoyed working with the company. The company provides a family like culture, comparable benefits, and an environment that promotes diversity and mental health. From interview process to onboarding, it was pretty seamless.

Minpunten

There needs to be a training manual or process built out for the claims department. There are a lot of manual processes that can be automated. This made training a bit more manual by having to remember everything vs having a training portal to go back to.
