Pluspunten
Learned a lot from association with a mixed group of "newbies" and long term agents, some who left the insurance industry and came back, and a few who were with Insphere for 5 years or more. A lot of exposure to marketing yourself and encouragement from a peer group. If you are new to sales or insurance sales and have no other options, it could possibly be an incubator for you.
Minpunten
Although they claim to pay the best in the industry, they are in reality "skimming" a portion of the commissions paid by the carriers. The "skim" varies, 4 to 5 percent "skim" on health commissions, 20 to 30% on supplementals, and 50 to 60 percent on Life Insurance contracts. In return for the reduced commissions, they give you some of their private stock which you cannot sell for many years until you become vested, and you cannot take with you when you leave. Since they will take almost anybody, sales experience or not, they have become an agent "mill" since there is no support beyond the free training you receive. You would probably be better off trying to get a starting job with low salary to learn the Insurance business, there are a number of carriers and agencies out there that offer those positions. You could end up failing as many do with Insphere and the suprise at the end is you will find that you owe them money!
