Working here gives some good opportunities to learn if you're willing to learn and you can use that knowledge to get a better job elsewhere. Canvas is cool as a product and can be fun to work with
Minpunten
This place has always had issues, but used to be a decent place to work overall. However, once Thoma Bravo bought the company, everything went *quickly* and aggressively downhill. They promote unqualified and under-performing individuals especially to managerial positions. They do not pay well, not the worst, but they could definitely improve. They are inconsistent about pay as well. It's very obvious that pay is dependent on how much your manager likes you as a person and not your work. If you're friends with your manager, they will work hard to raise your pay even if you are the worst performer on the team. They have been laying people off consistently without telling anyone within the company or outside of the company (this is in 2024). CEO is anti-semitic. During a company-wide call he made some disturbing comments about "wanting to go home immediately" after seeing a large group of Jewish people. Then later on we heard that he was emailed by the founder of Entrata, who emailed many people, including Steve Daly, with anti-semitic content. Seems like an odd coincidence. In another all hands meeting, when asked about the low pay throughout the company he responded aggressively because the person decided to send the question in anonymously-hard to say why they may have wanted to remain anonymous.... In yet another meeting when asked again about pay he responded with "money is fleeting". Definitely shows he is out of touch, which makes sense since he grew up in a rich family.
