Shoot from the hip mentality, lack of communication between executive, general managers, mill managers, to mid-level managers. Mills operating with Silo mentality, rather than a large business. Production focus forgets that this is also a business. Waste is plentiful, planning is lacking. Focus on day to day production numbers, lacking thought for sustainability.
