Work from home Fridays Pretty accommodating with schedules Fun, laid back culture Volunteer opportunities 401k with match Good work/life balance Monthly happy hours Quarterly fun events Professional development fund Ability to attend marketing events and expos This is a great stepping stone for those looking to start a career in digital marketing. You'll get the basic training you need to work on small business websites doing SEO and PPC.

Minpunten

Billing time Mediocre health insurance options Loud, small office Lack of career growth for senior employees Lack of mentors/management The culture Too many 'cooks in the kitchen' Intuitive is great if you're just starting out in the digital marketing arena, but not so much if you've been in the game for a few years and are looking to learn advanced strategy or analytics. The culture is laid back. Getting hired here is difficult, as it seems like way too many people get to have an opinion on those being hired, especially when it comes to personality. If you have the skills, but you're lacking the personality they're looking for, you won't move on. This is also a small company, so don't expect your salary to be very competitive w/the Portland market. They claim that the work day is 7.5 hours. What they don't tell you straightforward when you're interviewing is that you need to bill 7.5 hours of time each day. So, if they want you there for 8 hours, for 7.5 hours they want you to be 100% productive. This includes billing your time to the company (not to clients). Your time is decided for you literally down to the minute each month. Billing to clients is a no brainer, but the billing to the company gets to be difficult when meetings are not factored into how much time you're given, and when company happy hours and parties are thrown on your schedule at the end of the month and your capacity is already at 100%. Also, if you happen to not meet all your hours for the month (meaning you only billed 150 hours out of a total 157.5), they will be on you about either working extra time the next month or using your PTO to make up the difference. This practice feels very shady, especially when you're being paid a salary and you're there every day, so it can feel like you're an hourly employee at times. For those who are not into cheating the system, and want to do quality work, this is not the place to be if you find you take longer to do tasks than others. The CEO seems to be overly concerned with the billable efficiency of the company than of cultivating a culture of advanced employees, hence the lack of any senior positions or even director-level employees (they're too expensive and don't have the billable efficiency of the lower positions). Employee promotion plans are available, but they do very little to actually improve a person's skills, most of the tasks on the promotion plans focused on marketing techniques and selling a monthly plan. The CEO is a very nice guy, but sometimes he comes off as very juvenile and not professional. He also has a number of companies outside of Intuitive, so if you depend on him as your manager, you're left without someone to report to often because he's either out of the office or working on something else. He also does sales for Intuitive, so again, he wears many hats but sometimes it feels as though he's doing too much. If you're a new employee, you will run into being treated inferior (or like you don't know what you're doing) by some of the senior staff, especially if you happen to be younger than them. Turnover is high for new employees. There are a number of employees who have been there for 3+ years, but they are treated differently by the directors. You will find that everyone is not treated the same, and in a small company like Intuitive is it not hard to miss (and also, employees talk to other employees about EVERYTHING). If you're into a work environment that is professional, this is not the place for you. There is a fair divide between early 20s employees and those in their 30s and 40s, but I found myself put off by the 'lingo' used in the office - a lot of sexual innuendo and references to 'is that HR appropriate?' I wasn't offended, but it got old fast, and paired with the odd Nerf gun battle, sometimes it was difficult to discern whether or not this was an office or part-time daycare (I had been told that it had been a lot worse in prior years). This could have changed, but more often than not the account managers viewed their positions as more important/valuable than those actually doing the work for the clients. This is not a bad place to work, but I think a lot of this stuff is commonly brought up by employees but not voiced to the directors (although I know they know that everyone has an issue with how time is billed there). Again, if you're young, like a laid back atmosphere, love nerf gun battles, and are just starting out, this is the place for you. If you're in your 30s, have been doing your thing for a number of years, and are looking to advance your skills, Intuitive is not the place to help you with that.

The owner and his team are down to earth, super nice, and very easy to work with! I work with them as a contractor / freelancer and I was a little difficult when it came to my contract - so much so that I thought they would say "Forget it! We're not working with you!" But they were patient and worked with me until I was satisfied and they finally brought me aboard. It's been an amazing work experience and I can't say enough good things! I'll be in their corner as long as they'll have me.

Minpunten

It's been a few months and I can honestly say that there's been no cons. They're definitely doing something right!

What stands out first is the way leadership communicates. They are transparent, responsive, and open to straight talk. Goals make sense, the process is tidy, and you feel like your time goes toward work that moves the needle. There is real support for learning, too, from certifications to skill building, and wins are documented so the team can repeat them. The people are sharp and generous. Feedback is specific and useful without turning into busywork. The client mix keeps things interesting and helps you build range. You get real autonomy and trust, matched with clear priorities and accountability, which is a sweet spot for growth. The culture genuinely feels like a family. Folks jump in at a moment’s notice when someone needs a hand, even if it is not their project. New voices are welcomed, questions are encouraged, and credit is shared. It is easy to do your best work when you know the team has your back. Work-life balance is respected. When life happens, there is flexibility. Communication is straightforward, expectations are clear, and the reporting makes it easy to see how your efforts translate into results. It feels like a place where good work gets noticed and shared.
