There are a lot of benefits to working at Jumpstart, most notably an important mission and great, hardworking people. They offer generous paid vacation time, and sick time in addition to paid holiday time. Jumpstart touts exciting core values like social justice and inclusive leadership among others and is doing important internal DEI work. Jumpstart has done good work and has the potential to do even more.
Minpunten
Many staff are overworked and underpaid for their time, dedication, and expertise. Jumpstart's structure is top-heavy with too many leadership positions. There is poor management training and accountatbility across many departments and not enough investment, financial or otherwise, in generating new positions, systems, and processes to support people "on the ground."
