Pluspunten
Good salary and benefits (healthcare especially) Interesting work, some areas more than others Big emphasis on training since many staff are relatively junior and hired out of school - more "on the job" than formal Managers and leadership show genuine interest in staff's professional development Pretty good internal communication, small firm culture Good social environment - happy hours, office holiday party and overall collegial atmosphere Decent PTO allowance though some managers implicitly discourage their team from using it
Minpunten
Some quirky practices, still a small company in many ways Over time there's been a tendency to overly formalize simple processes and add pointless internal bureaucracy (e.g., aggressive time-tracking for fixed-fee projects, overly specific prospective time budgeting, revamping style guides and templates several times a year, weird and time-consuming DEI initiatives) which tacitly reflect power struggles among management, while junior staff are left with the work Culture becoming more soulless, negative, anti-intellectual and less fun over time
