Pluspunten
Keyence truly is a market leader in everything it does, products are world-class industry leading offerings that are very well respected amongst their customer base. Selling them is a pleasure because there is always several added value points you can fall back on to impress the customer and secure the sale. They favour hiring graduates or graduates with a little sales experience. They do all their training in house before you're let loose on the road in charge of a territory, you can expect training to last around 6 weeks based either in Milton Keynes or Heathrow; but don't worry you'll be put in hotels on expenses the entire time. Staff are very well looked after at Keyence from the start, everyone starts off as a Sales Engineer with a very strong base pay and a performance based quarterly bonus which comes into affect after 6 months in the role, this drastically increases you're earnings believe me. You're also provided with a very good company car with access to a fuel card for car related expenses. The main thing that attracted me to Keyence though was their ethos of only promoting from within, so it's a true meritocracy. Work hard and you will be rewarded both monetarily, through bi-annual pay rises, and through career progression. Even if you find it hard at first Keyence can afford to be very patient with new starters and really work with them to improve their sales performance, they've never fired anyone for poor performance alone so long as its evident you're putting effort in.
Minpunten
The only negatives are that for some people their territory can be quite large so staying in hotels is more frequent and others have long commutes to their local office. Keyence have opened two new offices in the past year though with plans for another in the pipeline which should alleviate travel for even more people.
