Minpunten
Management staff is ok with mediocre work as long as no one complains. You almost never will be praised for all good you do but will get thrashed for what you didn't do. There is preferential treatment to employees who allow themselves to be managed like children. The pay is low compared to industry average. You may get hired as CSR but will be doing research and adjustments, Collections and so much more. The clients will send in faxes, emails, billing information in no complete order and guess who needs to decipher through all that? Since sales, profit is their main objective, they are not encouraged to communicate to the clients that they should be more precise and organized when providing information to Labcorp. The sales divisions truly drives much of the decision makings and CSR and Collections are merely at their mercy when it comes to them. Most of the management and employees have worked there for 10+ years and are not open to new ideas. If you need to address anything of significance, please start from the highest level ( corporate HR)because the site HR are all in with the management and you won't see any significant progress. Their process to update their internal systems takes years to catch up with other major companies. The motto of the site seems to be "if it aint broke, don't fix it". The average pay increase/raise is 2-3% (pennies). Expect them to start with the $15 low ball offer at hiring, which was just increased nationwide! There are way too many companies paying 40K and up for less work. They truly squeeze every bit out of you once they see you are highly competent. If you want to make over 40K and up, you will need to work over time and who wants to do that when you are already doing 3-4 jobs in 1. They don't offer the employees livable wages in comparison to the national average. Great starting point for graduates fresh out of High School since most supervisors and managers have been there since then. This is why most of them are rigid and so opposed to changes. Covid19 put them on the map and imagine all the profit they have made and only managed to increase the starting pay to $15 after all these years. It is not even laughable how these companies profit from our hard work only to throw us crumbs. Get what knowledge while you're there and use it to make your next move.
