There are some great things about working for Lenscrafters or Luxottica in general. After each full year completed, the associate recieves 1 pair of complimentary eyewear. They offer a great benefits package along with great discounts on eyewear at Luxottica locatons along with discounts with partnering companies. They offer alot of flexibility within the schedule for part-timers.
Minpunten
The biggest downside for working for Lenscrafters is that it IS a corporation with ridiculous rules for follow. It's hard to be your own person when working for a corporation that is money driven and all that mattes at the end of the day is the numbers. It seems that no matter how many years one puts into the company, if management has personal ties with a fellow employee, then they recieve priority on almost anythiing--seniority doesn't even exist here. It also seems that every single month there is a new "way" of going about business that one can not seem to adjust due to the constant changes or what they call "rollouts." Probably the worst thing is the nitpicking that can come from management and the constant favoritism.
