Pluspunten
- Usually hires fresh graduates which makes it a great place to start your career and learn new skills. I'm grateful that management gave me the chance to start from somewhere after uni and treating me like a star since the recruitment process, even though my skills felt like the bare minimum at that point. - Worked with some of the most amazing people. Each of us was weirdly unique which made it so much fun. Communication between us was straightforward and friendly with no politics involved. - At that point when I was leaving the team was changing a lot, but the new hires seemed really smart and capable. Definetly a new team dynamic vs when I joined, but still a very friendly environment. - One of the most diverse companies with people from different backgrounds and ethnicities. - Investing more on data science lately, which means less trenuous and manual work. The data science lead is super smart and innovative so definetly more streamelined processes coming in. - You get complete trust from management. If you are creative enough and have got ideas that can contribute towards product development, then they will take your ideas into account. -Linking to the previous point you feel like a valued member and you are given autonomy to perform your tasks. - Career-wise, everyone is given their chance to shine as long as they are willing to contribute. There is both upward and lateral movement options. People can jump to different roles, since new positions come up as the company evolves. - Flexibility in terms of working hours and location. -It's a small company so your decisions and ideas can have a big impact. I joined when the company was still at its baby stage. We were just 6-7 people but together we worked wonders and got onboard top names from the 500 list. -Missed arguing with clients. XD See it as an opportunity to vent out.
Minpunten
-Not much of training when you join. You have to explore things on your own which makes you wonder what new is out there in terms of skills that you have been missing out. - Low salary and no benefits. - Culture is what suffered the most post-covid. Since everyone is working from home there are no get together anymore, which disconnects the teams. -The eternally-unresolved conflict between the analysis and the collection teams, with accountability being pushed around. - Lack of direction from management. Depending on how you see it this can be a good and a bad thing. It's bad in terms of product facing stagnation, since management is at the fron end and needs to be able to highlight new trends in the market based on client discussions. But it could also be a great opportunity for employees to step up and make suggestions which leads to you being creative, autonomous and trusted by management. -A lot of unecessary meetings that steal time from your tasks. -Tasks can feel repetitive. Report in-report out every week and can also feel very stressful to find delivery slots for the clients as it can get very busy. -Linking to a previous review leadership was indeed male BUT I think it just happened to be so. As a female, I felt very trusted and valued and I think I could have had the opportunity to get more involved into leadership discussions. I just felt I was too busy with my responsibilities so I did not pursue anything more in this area. -Some mysticism around leadership decisions and what was going on with clients. It could have been because there was uncertainty in terms of decisions.
