Pluspunten
The best thing about working at Linktree is the team—everyone's mission-driven and pooling their talents to build products that help people start their side quests or level up their main quest. Yeah, it's a business with a bottom line, but the "why" behind it all is what really drives the culture here. On top of that, it’s just a great product, and the team is growing fast. If you’re an engineer, there’s a huge opportunity to dive deep, become a domain expert, and make a real impact. If you’re looking for a startup that’s early enough for your voice to matter but solid enough to feel stable, Linktree is where it’s at.
Minpunten
I almost feel bad bringing this up because the company actually does a decent job with it, but there are some challenges when it comes to coordinating and connecting across time zones. With half (or more) of the team in Australia and the rest spread across the US (mostly California), plus a few folks in the EU and the Philippines, it can get tricky. The biggest pain point for me has been when I need support from someone in my time zone. That said, async communication (shoutout to Slack!) usually gets the job done, and there’s almost always a secondary domain expert around to help.
