Pluspunten
LP hires great people! There isn’t a single team I wouldn’t want to be on. The people really make this place special! I would recommend LP to someone just starting their career. It’s a great place to learn and gain experience.
Minpunten
Leadership is struggling to find a company structure that works. There have been several re-orgs over the last few years and countless talented and hardworking employees have been laid off in the process. It appears as though leadership is trying to consolidate to save money. They say it’s in an effort to reduce middlemen and improve efficiency, but that’s clearly not working. So many of leadership’s decisions have people scratching their heads. While there are still smart, hardworking people at LP, the company has lost many of its best and most tenured employees. These are people with years of valuable experience who contribute to a better product and customer experience. LP’s culture and offerings have certainly suffered as a result of sweeping layoffs. People feel it and frustrations have reached an all-time high. Individual contributors feel undervalued and anyone paid a decent salary feels at risk of being replaced with a recent grad who’s willing to work for significantly less. Additionally, most employees are scared to provide genuinely honest feedback as the CEO’s mentality has become “get on board or get out.” LP isn’t a bad place to work, it’s just not what it used to be. Had leadership recognized the value of growing with its loyal, experienced and hardworking employees, I have a feeling they’d be better positioned at this point in time.
