Lots of learning opportunities for people willing to self-teach and work beyond their job definition. Rarely has anyone stopped me from doing a job if I said, "I could do that." If you get a good department with a good manager, they can find a way to keep their people happy.
Minpunten
No training for new people. Generally poor morale company-wide. Wide-spread belief that the company is cheap and unappreciative. Although an individual manager might do their best to make things okay within their department, that kind of appreciation and perks will come only from a "local" level (within a department), never from Executives.
